What size fan do you need?
To calculate the size of fan you need to:
- Measure height, length and width of growing environment.
- Multiply together H x L x W to give the cubic meter volume.
- Multiply the figure by the amount of air changes you require (for example 20).
- This is the size of fan required to change the air 20 times in one hour.
- Buy a slightly larger fan than required to ensure adequate ventilation.
Size of fan to water movement:
100mm = 175m3/hr
125mm = 225m3/hr
150mm = 420m3/hr
200mm = 750m3/hr
250mm = 760m3/hr
315mm = 1300m3/hr
